Like many people in this country, and further afield, Radio 4 is a part of the fabric of my life, always murmuring gently in the background. So the Saturday morning ‘Home Truths slot’ has finally been filled with Saturday Live. Good to hear Fi Glover back on the radio as I always enjoyed listening to her on Broadcasting House. Anyway, the first Saturday Live is nearly done and I must say that it is gentle, entertaining Saturday morning listening.
Prompted by the launch of a new Radio 4 programme the Guardian took the opportunity of reviewing the worst programmes on Radio 4, the battle of the bores, and hits the raw nerve that is Any Answers;
“It makes you realise who exactly your fellow listener is. You are one of them. You may as well slit your wrists now.”
